Key Highlights & Important Dates

UTET is a state-level teacher eligibility test — clearing it makes you eligible for teacher recruitment in Uttarakhand’s government schools. Here’s what stands out in this notification and the dates you can’t afford to miss.

Why This Notification Matters

• Two papers, two levels: Paper I is for Primary teachers (Classes I–V) and Paper II is for Upper Primary teachers (Classes VI–VIII). You can appear for one or both.
• Final-year candidates allowed for Paper I: If you’re in the final year of a 4-year B.El.Ed/D.El.Ed/D.Ed degree, you can still apply — a big plus for fresh teacher-aspirants.
• Straightforward selection: Selection is based on the written exam. No interview or experience bar is mentioned for the eligibility test.
• State-wide exam: The job location is Uttarakhand — qualifying candidates become eligible for teacher posts in government schools across the state.
• Online application only: No offline forms. Everything happens on the official UTET website.

Mark These Dates

Don’t wait until the last date. The website tends to slow down in the final days, and the fee payment last date is 03 August 2026 itself — pay it early so your application doesn’t get rejected.
