Eligibility Criteria for Nursing Officer
Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet ONE of the following qualification criteria:
- Option 1: B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing OR B.Sc Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council recognized Institute or University, AND registered as Nurse and Midwife in State/Indian Nursing Council
- Option 2: B.Sc (Post-certificate)/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an INC recognized Institute or University, AND registered as Nurse and Midwife
- Option 3: Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an INC recognized Institute/Board or Council, AND registered as Nurse and Midwife, AND have Two Years Experience in nursing

Salary and Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive a salary at Pay Level-7 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. This translates to a basic pay of Rs.44,900 to Rs.1,42,400 per month, plus Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and other applicable benefits.
Nursing Officers at AIIMS also get additional allowances such as Nursing Allowance, Uniform Allowance, and risk-based incentives depending on the department of posting.
Selection Process
Selection will be through a Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted in two stages:
- Stage I CBT: Screening exam scheduled for 12 September 2026. This is a qualifying round.
- Stage II CBT: Main exam on 30 September 2026. Scores from this stage determine merit ranking.
